Anna Box is a psychologist and story strategist who mashes the art of story (film, narrative, culture) with the science of thriving (wellbeing, neuroscience, positive psychology). She believes that great tales are never just seen or heard - they are felt - and has devoted much of her life and career to understanding story, human thriving, and how together they spark meaningful change. Her study into the psycho-physiological response to storytelling fueled her interest in neurocinematics, cinematherapy, interpersonal neurobiology, spiritual intelligence, and all that stemmed from Joseph Campbell’s work concerning ‘the hero’s journey’. Anna consults across business, education, AFL, and the arts; working with a range of stakeholders and elite performers. She is a Faculty Member at The School of Life in Australia and the founder of Screen & Soul - film workshops designed to share leadership, wellbeing and performance science, all while feeling like a day at the movies. Anna believes wholeheartedly that story sparks endless ‘aha moments’... moments laden with human truth, once we know how to really notice them.
