Doug has been married to his high school sweetheart Jennifer for 22 years, and they live in Brighton, Michigan with their two daughters Audrey (17) and Josie (15), and their miniature Golden Doodle Teddy (2). Doug was an overseer at The Well Church in Brighton for 6 years and now serves on the board of Love INC in Howell. He runs the Beth Moffat Memorial Golf Outing every May which grows the Beth Moffat Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded at Hartland High School. He graduated from Lake Forest College with a double major in Business & Sociology. Doug was a Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual from 1997 to 2017. He started The Moffat Group, Inc. in 2018 which provides insurance planning and meeting facilitation. He is the JV Boys Tennis coach at Hartland High school, and in addition to still playing tennis, he plays hockey and golf, and enjoys working out, reading, going to concerts, good food and craft beer.
