Sonali Fiske is the founder of Pick You Platform & Raise Your Voice & a leadership mentor to underrepresented & womyn-identifying WOC leaders. Her mission is to center the often suppressed & silenced stories of women still on the margins of our society. She is also an international speaker, workshop leader & the host of the Call to Sacred Activism.
In August of 2009, after the 30-year long civil war in her homeland, and prompted by the Western media's skewed reporting of the country's post-war internment camps, Sonali traveled there to investigate how its internally displaced Tamil people were being forcibly & temporarily confined. What she found there was a startling and harrowing journey into convoluted facts, conflicting reports between Government officials and journalists, and a first-hand experience that will both infuriate and champion the power of storytelling.
