Morgan is a co-founding partner and filmmaker at a boutique video agency in Portland, Maine, specializing in commercial and branded content for national and regional clients. Before his return to his home state of Maine 15 years ago, he worked in television camera departments in NYC and freelance edited for ad agencies. Besides a successful commercial filmmaking career, he has won multiple awards for short documentary films – typically focusing on subject matter about radically ordinary people. Somebody's Hero is the culmination of his work to date and typifies his desire to shine a spotlight on stories of marginalized or forgotten people who have done exemplary deeds. His work has won Best New Experimental Filmmaking at AFI Fest, Best Short at Flicker Fest, selected at Camden International Film Fest, nominated for best animated short at Venice Shorts, twice selected as Vimeo Staff picks, and has been featured widely on The Atlantic and Wired. He lives with my wife and two young children in Portland, Maine.
